The AKC Canine Good Citizen's Prep. Course is an advanced training program for those who have graduated the Interactive Basic Obedience Course. This class is a Six week course designed to refine the obedience training and introduce new challenges that last a lifetime.
The Canine Good Citizen's Award is to honor dog owners who's dog can display good manners. What defines "good manners"? A calm, obedient dog that can face most any situation with solid self-control and self confidence. A dog that displays total control even in the most stressful environments or situations.
The A.K.C (American Kennel Club) has a battery of tests that are issued by qualified evaluators, testing the "good manners" as well as the behaved responses from you to your dog. Basic obedience is not a factor but helps in gaining the control you need to have over your dog while attempting to take these tests. This is the Canine Good Citizen's Test.
We believe in the standards set out by the AKC as the very essence of a well behaved dog. Education and responsible dog ownership are our #1 concern and we are proud that the AKC has allowed us to uphold and teach their pledge of being a responsible dog owner!
The instructors are AKC Certified to conduct the test. We teach you then we test you. Success is imminent!
