Be A Good Dog University Is Bringing You
Canine Agility
Be A Good Dog University encourages everyone to discover their dogs greatest athletic potential by enrolling in our Introductory Agility course!

Agility is a sporting event in which one dog and one human work together so that the dog successfully navigates a series of obstacles arranged in a random course. The course is usually about 180 yards long and snakes around inside an area about 100 feet square. Each run is timed or scored to so that the goal is to complete the course with the highest score or the quickest time possible. The sport of agility is meant to be a fun, non-regimented sport, with a lot of spectator appeal.

We believe there is an athlete in every dog!

Dogs, by nature, are natural athletes. In the pack, dogs earn their keep by participating in the hunt for rewarding food. This gives them the sense of purpose! By introducing Agility, you, in short, give them a job, a purpose. Agility also gives your dog an outlet for pent-up energy, a way to release frustration often caused by lack of exercise.

We introduce Jumps, Dog Walk, Teeter-Totter, the Tube, Tire Jump and the A-Frame. These obstacles build confidence and are essential to advancing to championship.

We ask that all dogs have a physical exam conducted by the family veterinarian to eliminate any underlying physical conditions or disabilities that could be aggrivated by the activity involved in agility.

Be A Good Dog University does not certify or hold championship competitions for agility, but offers the building blocks for those who wish to advance in the popular sport.

This is an 8 week course, walking you through the motions step by step, using only positive and effective methods to achieve the results you are looking for!
